Bags are packed
Today was an interesting day. We found out that Ellesse does not have CF like her big sis. Such a relief in so many ways, however, May was disappointed. She said she was hoping they could do their treatments and hospital stays together. I am not sure how she became so worldly. While I am of course grateful for the “carrier” status, it was a bit heartbreaking to see May feel a bit alone in this journey.
We talked today about the airplane as neither of them have ever been on one and we discussed why we were going, Maylie said…..”We are going for my 65 Roses?” I replied, “well, yes, but also to go on a trip and see a new country,” and she said, “Oooohhhh, thank you Momma!” What an amazing little girl she is.
So, another day of trying to understand where our insurance lies in all of this. I am reassured over and over that we have the same coverage there as we do here from the wonderful Blue Card folks (BCBS international company) however, they keep saying that we don’t have final approval yet….getting just a bit nervous. We have everything set up for her to have her first admit in three days. Hoping the approval comes before that.
We are very lucky to have such incredible insurance that sees the value (and not speaking financially…while that is in their favor as well) but the value of such a proactive and aggressive form of treatment. Okay, back to last minute packing. Truly almost done!!

Have a great time East Family! Come back with positive information, and a re-energized sense of positivity. Call me when you get to the airport. It is going to be snowing all day tomorrow here in MN
