I have worked with adults who have CF for the last 7 years and credit most of my “practice wisdom” to the 300+ patients at our center. I have spoken at the University of Minnesota’s CF Education Conferences, the Midwest CF Nutrition and Social Work Consortium and the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference. I have educated other social workers about serving the CF Community through field instruction, clinical supervision, and through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Social Work Mentor program. My special areas of interest are: empowering patients/families, mental/chemical health, adjustment to illness, and advanced health care planning.
